Chakras, the ancient energy centers believed to reside within the human body, have fascinated spiritual seekers and practitioners for centuries. Rooted in the teachings of Hinduism and later adopted by various spiritual traditions, including Buddhism, the concept of chakras offers a profound understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, has elucidated upon these subtle energy centers in his teachings, providing valuable insights into their significance and practical applications.

According to the Dalai Lama, chakras represent focal points where energy channels intersect, facilitating the flow of vital life force, or prana. Each chakra is associated with specific physiological, emotional, and spiritual functions, influencing various aspects of an individual’s well-being. In the traditional understanding, there are seven primary chakras aligned along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head.
