Soon it will be three years since I started working at Ubiquiti Networks. I joined as a UI/UX designer in the Riga office and since then I got the green light to grow a team — now we are 15 designers and developers working on company websites, apps, and community. Since I actively look for new team members to join my team, I thought it would be a good idea to write this little blog post on what it is like to work at Ubiquiti.

Frequently when I talk to potential candidates at tech events and meetups, I face the misconception that Ubiquiti is a large corporation with boring products and a lot of politics that opened a office in Riga because it is “cheaper”. To be completely honest, at first I thought that too but it turned out not to be the case at all, and for me personally it is my most exciting job to date. 99% of visitors who come to our office and see what we are actually working on are impressed that something like this is happening in Riga. …
