There is

a piece of

Plastic corn on the cob

under the couch

in addition to

so many

odds n ends

knick-knacks

toys

wrappers possible stinkies

*

and, lost socks.

*

I

don’t

want to

pick them up

stoop down

hands on knees

fingers reaching

*

frustrated because

I.cant.quite.get.it.

every stoop down is

pressure on my ever-sore

low back

*

chasing toddlers

girl-baby on my hip

*

I want to

strengthen my core

strengthen my pelvic

muscles

get tight
