At the risk of rehashing an argument, there is an ongoing misconception that creating a company under a lean startup approach is incompatible with a big entrepreneurial vision.

Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas is the tool of choice for a quick, one page dashboard of your business hypotheses. It very much appeals to the business guy in me, but it irks the User Experience (UX) part of my brain.

But hey…the canvas is a tool. Use the right tool for the right job. …

When I last left off, the product/market fit side of the intrepid Puppies-as-a-Service Business Model Canvas was done.

The (somewhat dubious) plan is to rent adorable puppies to heroin addicts (with a heart!) who would like to pick up chicks with a ‘no poop’ experience (recall that these are our Value Propositions.). I’ll rent these puppies out of the back of a pedicab delivering excellent customer support via an awesome customer support desk which is really just a cell phone. …

In a previous post, we criticized adoption of the term Lean Enterprise and were accused of making a straw man argument.
