Well, the singular truth is: They are not wrong. America has always brought people of different background together. That’s always been the philosophy. You say, “No we haven’t because look at all this bad shit we’ve done.” They’ve done that kind of bad shit basically everywhere else in the entire world. What they haven’t done everywhere else in the entire world is brought so many cultures under one roof to play nice. America’s done that. They’re not wrong to say so.

Stop vilifying America for no reason. History is filled with violent, awful things and terrible people. They are and were everywhere. America’s history is no more horrible, but in the process we became a bastion of cultural diversity, and over time, all those cultures learned to play along. People like Trump are threatening that progress. That’s the bottom line.
