The Struggles of a Start-Up

I have this idea right, it’s been sitting in my brain a few years now. I’ve tossed it around, added some details, removed a few things but the ultimate goal remains the same:

I want to open a business in downtown Jacksonville, FL.

What kind of business you may ask? Well that’s where it gets tricky. I worry about discussing it in too much detail, letting someone else start the business and leaving me upset that someone else has my dream. Let’s just say it will be a creative outlet for all ages.

I have the entire business idea, location and even a non-profit I wish to have operating within the building as well. I’ve made floor plans, created menus (yes, there will be food), and know that my business will benefit my community and beyond. Yet I’m stuck.

I have no idea what step to make next. There are a million books, articles, etc. on how to start up a company yet no clear path. I don’t expect it to be easy but I think I’ve been on information overload. So many opinions and not enough direction.

I need a mentor… someone who has successfully started their own business or non-profit and wishes to help others. Isn’t that what it’s supposed to be about? So if you know someone, send them my way, spread some love ❤

Ok, just a little rant about my big idea, stuck in this brain, fighting for a chance to get out and help the world be a better place…
