Google Updates: SEO for travel — non branded rankings become less important

Google often changes the search results. Especially for hotels it became much more difficult to get traffic for non branded keywords. As you can see in the screenshot below, the first organic result on my desktop is’nt above the fold. There is the local pack, but my client, which was on number 1, doesn’t appear: The click through rate was 5%, which is ultralow. Not even the first result assures a high traffic volume.

Now the user experience for travel queries on mobile changes. For some queries the ranking doesn’t matter anymore, so there will be a different approach to get traffic. Check out this link:
