Ethicon’s Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Course
Alongside his work with patients at Women’s Health and Surgery Center, surgeon Kurian Thott regularly travels to instruct other surgeons in particular clinical settings. Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon recently recruited Dr. Thott to teach laparoscopic hysterectomy “boot camp” courses. Kurian Thott is well versed in laparoscopic and other minimally invasive, gynecologic procedures.
Ethicon offers a wealth of professional education training sessions for gynecological surgeons. The company’s Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Course focuses on hysterectomies and related procedures and teaches techniques that minimize incision size and quantity in pelvic surgeries.
Students receive instruction from experienced surgeons, review case presentations, and dialogue with other medical professionals. They also benefit from hands-on labs, which allow them to practice and refine their skills using some of the newest surgical tools Ethicon has to offer.
Similar courses are offered to fellows and students seeking preceptorships. Virtual opportunities with live case observation are available online as well.
