My Digital Footprint

Hey Natasha

I Couldn’t agree more with the importance of understanding the positive and negative implications of your digital footprint. Future educators must be aware and approach digital technology with a professional and mature approach. I enjoyed the analogy of the beach and how the tides and waves can wash away your foot print, in contrast with your digital footprint where the things your post or share online can remain online forever. Perhaps maybe a solution when using social media is to have multiple accounts for example, using one for personal use where you can post things to your friends and family that is private, while another account is used professionally like a personal learning network where the public can have access to. I think separating our personal life and professional life is very important and would solve a lot of these conflicts that may degrade someone’s reputation.
