New York City is known for offering the best of the best. Be it shows, activities, nightlife, or restaurants, New York City has something for everyone. That being said, it can be overwhelming at times, as the options are seemingly limitless. How could one ever possibly choose? Thanks to the Michelin Guide of 2015, the top 126 restaurants in the city have been listed out for those seeking out top-notch dining. All of the restaurants to have made the list are locations in which patrons can have a two course meal with a glass of wine or a dessert for $40 or less, excluding tax & tip.
Of the 126 restaurants that made the list, the top 5 are as follows:
1. Baker & Co: A quaint Italian Restaurant located on the corner of Bleecker and Cornelia. An intimate setting that offers lunch, dinner and brunch- all of which have received stellar reviews. The waitstaff is pleasant and the portions are generous- definitely a place to check out for your next date!
2. Bar Primi: Another Italian spot, but mostly focused on their pasta dishes. This hip Italian restaurant is one to which you should bring your appetite. With delicious appetizers, decadent pasta dishes and luscious desserts. New York Magazine recommends the friday special, Zuppa di pesce, or the spaghetti clams casino.
3. Biang!: For those based in Manhattan, this restaurant is a bit of a trek away, located in Flushing, Queens. This restaurant makes their own authentic hand-pulled noodles & the menu offers a variety of spicy Chinese dishes. Definitely a place to check out
4. Elberta: A funky spot offering new American cuisine, Elberta is located in the trendy Prospect Heights in Brooklyn, right on the main strip of Flatbush avenue. Offering fresh and inventive dishes for brunch, dinner, and late-night drinks, Elberta is well-deserved in their spot on this list.
5. Glady’s: A fresh and bright Caribbean restaurant in Brooklyn that offers authentic regional plates and creative cocktails. The menu is short- but don’t be discouraged by the fewer choices. All of the dishes are top-notch!
