I turn in toward the Sun each day

And every night I seek the moon

Once in a while both conspire

To pull me into their cocoon

Days where sunlight graces my smile

And the moon’s mass drops my jaw

Standing still, both day and night

All I can do is gaze in awe

Once in a long while something

Catches me like night and day

Though the moon’s not nearly full now

The sun’s reflection is on its way

Today the sun shone sure and brightly

And I felt the moon’s strong gravity

And emerging from cocooned captivity

Flew butterflies from my chest cavity

Open and allowing closure

To the days where clouds hid sunlight

Watch these flying creatures of effort

Cast themselves full into their flight

Warm, the feeling of the sunshine

Still I feel it viewing this moon

Born, each day when sun’s are risen

Still.

I feel it renews a true bloom
