How to Talk to Your Kids About Bernie Sanders

Hi Kimberly,

Thank you for your passion about Bernie; he gives hope to many, and a voice to many who are voiceless.

He reminds me of Richard Nixon in 1968 (I went door to door for Nixon; I think I was in 6th grade). Nixon, while an insider, came across in many ways as a “common man” and running against the establishment (Humphrey). Hubert was ahead for the most part, until Nixon went on a TV show called, Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In. It was a cameo appearance, and all he said was the gag line, “Sock it to me.” He showed he was like us in doing so, and went on to win.

In 72, I worked for McGovern (before his big win in Wisconsin). He became to cool cat fighting against the system. Even though he had the Mainstream News Media behind him, he still lost big.

Jimmy in 76 came across as a competent outsider, as did Ronald Wilson Reagan in 80.

I hope Bernie does well, and am so glad he has over 2 million unique donors. I hope he continues to fire up his supporters.

In as much as I am running as an Independent for President of The United States, my path for victory, requires I pull heavy from the Bernie & Donald supporters in November.

Keep plugging away for Bernie; we never know how things will turn out. If Bernie does not make it, please prayerfully consider my effort to save our Earth and Constitution. http://presidentkopitke2016.blogspot.com/

Praise Ye The Lord,
