Module 12

What is an online footprint? If anything online makes up your digital footprint, what is your digital footprint made up of?

An online footprint marks our digital footprint that is a trail of digital information we have left behind us when we do something online whether its sharing, search or buying things, from pictures, videos and comments that we have made. It could be anything that involves us from a Facebook to twitter account.

If anything you have done online makes up your digital footprint, what is YOUR digital footprint made up of?

Photographs, videos, friends, university blogs, social media profiles, family.

What will you change to make your digital footprint more suitable?

I don’t think it is about changing your digital footprint because once something has been posted or shared we have obviously didn’t think about the marks it has left. I believe it is more about being conscious of what is posted and shared because once its out there, there is no going back from that certain post, comment or share. Anything you do on the Internet can have a strong outcome on your future. Being aware of the privacy settings and security is something we must take into consideration as being future teachers we would want our accounts private due to students searching up our names and trying to contact us.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
