Handling automatically financial claims for free is not enough for getting a customer ok with the fact that he is the product. Providing for free a map, a search engine, a social network, a way to communicate is enough because the customer doesn’t get precisely any financial reward. But he gets something much more valuable than money the fact of being part of a community or direct access to knowledge. Handling amazon claims is worth 7€, it’s cheap and it is not worth offering something free for customers. It’s worth taking a small cut out of it and I understand it’s unfortunately impossible. Empowering communication is something worth being free. The customer will be always ok with being the product if he gets value that is worth so much more than money
