A bad credit score should be disclosed before marriage since that score could keep an individual member of the couple from being able to buy a house or something. Overall, though, while a significant other’s credit score has some significance, but the more important factor is overall spending habits. Anyone can get bad credit due to a huge medical bill or something. But a bad credit score due to constant frivolous purchases? That’s bad news. The first will go away in a decade. The second will probably last forever.
