We Have A Teacher Crisis So, Sure, Let’s Obsess Over One Educator’s Wardrobe

Given the fact that over the past decade or two, many politicians have scapegoated teachers for everything from not magically closing the achievement gap between poor children and rich children to not making sure that every single child in America passes high school while testing better in math than every student in China, and given that somehow, large swathes of the country actually believed those politicians, it is a terrible time to be a public school teacher.
I wouldn’t go into K-12 teaching right now even if I wanted bady to teach 5th grade and the salaries were commensurate with the salaries of other graduates.
