The article strays a bit from the purpose stated in the headline (Which is Billfold worthy; the prices of things, even things I wouldn’t buy myself, are completely relevant to this site.)

I’m no believer in the magic of crystals (though I do think salt lamps are pretty). Still, the woman interviewed does seem to get something out of her purchase of crystals; they increase her sense of well being, whether through magic or a placebo effect. Honestly, if putting a tiger’s eye in your bra will make you feel more confident, I think you should go for it, so long as you aren’t buying $3,000 crystals that you can’t afford.
