Yep. Brown says that it might be physically difficult to work until age 70, but it’s also worth keeping in mind that age discrimination is real and happens far before 70. I know plenty of 60-somethings who have lost jobs or have been forced to take part-time work because no one will hire them (or keep them on) full time. Brown’s old figure (that a couple that waits to retire until 70 will have 47% more retirement income), on the other hand, assumes that 60-somethings will lose income before or after age 65.
