Attention Builders — We’re officially less than a week a way from public onboarding to the Lamina1 Mainnet on May 28th, and our official launch activation at Consensus 2024.
In celebration of the big event, and as part of our ongoing HubMania quest initiative, we’re excited to announce the L1 Decentralized Launch Party — a series of incentivized virtual and IRL events hosted by you to mark the launch of our open metaverse platform.
The idea is to have the L1 community join the Lamina1 core team and Open Metaverse Foundation in celebrating the launch of Mainnet next week by hosting virtual and in-person events around the world on May 28th and May 29th 2024 celebrating the launch — from virtual meet-ups on platforms like Sandbox, Decentraland, Party.Space, and Rec Room to in-person get togethers at coffee shops, bars, internet cafes, etc.
These parties will correspond with a live, real-world launch party the Lamina1 core team is throwing at Consensus 2024 on May 29th at from 4–6pm CDT in Austin, Texas, which we’ll be reporting live from on the ground for the community on Twitter and in the #hubmania channel on Discord.
To get involved, finish reading this post for a bit of bonus XP on Zealy, then RSVP to the event here on the Lamina1 Discord. From there, share your ideas and start organizing with others on the #hubmania channel on Discord.
As an initial thought-starter, a few kinds of parties we think might be fun for community members to start organizing include:
- Virtual meet-ups on platforms like Sandbox, Decentraland, Party.Space, and Rec Room
- In-person gatherings globally: coffee shops, house parties, bar meet-ups, LAN parties
- Virtual hackathons, codeathons, and asset creation jams
- Other innovative ideas welcome
From there, on May 28th, alongside the start of our public onboarding window, we’ll drop a limited-edition form on Blocksurvey that will allow L1 community members to submit “proof of party” (e.g. screenshots, links, and photos of their activations).
