LAMINA1 Quick Start Guide: How to Get L1 Betanet Test Tokens

Just started testing with LAMINA1 and wondering where to get L1 Betanet tokens? Follow our quick start guide below.

So you’ve heard about LAMINA1, are interested in our vision for an open metaverse built by and for creators, and want to get started testing on the LAMINA1 Hub and Betanet. The first thing you’ll need to do is get some test tokens.

1. Start by joining the LAMINA1 Discord at https://discord.gg/lamina1.
2. Next, navigate to our read-only #betanet-faucet channel, where we have provided instructions on how to use our Discord faucet bot to redeem 10 L1 Betanet test tokens to jump-start your initial testing.
3. Once you’ve read through the instructions, go to #betanet-discussion and type in the prompt /faucet, followed by a space to call the bot.
4. The bot will prompt you to input your LAMINA1 Hub C-Chain address (copy and pasted from your LAMINA1 Hub ‘Home’ or ‘Settings’ page), then will provide you a ‘drip’ of tokens to faciliate testing.

Right now, new L1 community members can receive a ‘drip’ from our Discord faucet of 10 L1 Betanet tokens to jumpstart their testing.

If you need more tokens than this to facilitate testing or launch a project on Betanet, reach out to us directly at ecosystem@lamina1.com or join our Quest platform on Zealy, (directions on how to join here) where you can complete Quests to earn XP that will be redeemable for more test tokens in upcoming community airdrops in Betanet and beyond.

This faucet and claim process is temporary, and will disappear once we move toward Mainnet and the L1 token makes its way into the public market. At this point, you’ll be able to buy and sell it like any other digital currency.

NOTE: L1 Betanet tokens are for testing and development purposes only. The Betanet tokens will be used to push forward development and potentially track engagement/participation in the L1 ecosystem as we move forward in development and toward the official LAMINA1 launch. They are to be used exclusively inside the Lamina1 Betanet and should only be transferred among and between Lamina1 Betanet participants.

At the end of the Betanet period, they will be burned in connection with the termination of the Betanet. The Betanent and the Betanet tokens will not be supported by any entity or individual following the termination of the Betatest period. LAMINA1 may terminate the Betanet period at any time, in its sole discretion, and makes no promises or undertakings, express or implied, to provide ongoing support for the LAMINA1 Betanet.
