When I was a Financial Professional I was one of the very first to embrace ETFs, UITs,MLPs, REITs,ADRs, Convertibles, International Bonds, Build America Bonds, International and Global Investments,Indexed Annuities, Hedge Funds, Managed Futures and other alternative investments.
This was one way to differentiate myself from my colleagues who only provided “plain vanilla” domestic common stocks and US bonds to their clients.
These alt products, along with college planning, pre-retirement “red zone” planning. retirement income planning, succession planning and more were all ways to establish rapport and relationships with our clients where we were much more than a commodity.
Whether an FA, a copywriter, a blogger, an Affiliate Marketer or whatever …you truly need to establish a USP and a differentiator to stand out from the rest.
