The sun scanned through the crack in my curtains, a sniper peering through a scope as they search for their target. My alarm buzzed like a fly on the wall, a reminder that reality was beckoning me to pick the fresh fruit swinging from the branches of life. I pushed myself up and sat on the edge of my bed, the dull ache, and residual stick of sweat formed a fuzzy memory of the nights events. Was it a dream? It doesn’t matter; whatever it was is now over.
