17 Seconds . . .

Abraham says that a thought reaches a combustion point at 17 seconds of pure undiluted focus. It draws another thought to it and it is exponentially more powerful.

Maintain that focus for another 17 seconds and the next thought combusts. This is the Law of Attraction in action! The energy evolves to a higher level of energy.

Maintain another 17 seconds and the same vibration raising process continues and multiplies.

If you will maintain for an additional 17 seconds, you’ve held a pure focused thought for 68 seconds. It has been proven that this minuscule amount of time spent purely focusing (on any given subject) is the key to bringing about the manifestation. The key word is pure — your focus must be clear and positive, your vibration high and your energy strong, and resistance must not exist. If your thoughts waiver, take a moment to breathe, clear your head and start again — no judgment, just love.

Right now you are probably thinking, “okay, 17 seconds, that’s easy.” But most of us have very contradictory energy patterns and they are so habitual, we don’t even realize it!

How many times a day do you or someone close to you say things like, “I’d love to take a vacation, but I can’t afford it,” or, “I’d like a better job, but no one is going to pay me what I’d like to make,” or, “I want to lose weight, but I just can’t do it! It’s too hard! I don’t have any will power!”

When we talk like that, we advertise to the Universe exactly what we don’t want and by the Law of Attraction, the Universe WILL deliver!

It’s not a cruel trick — it is the Law of Attraction in action! It’s a brilliant demonstration! Right there is your proof that it works — why not turn it around and move towards your best life?

How do we implement the power of 17 seconds? It can be a struggle to maintain a purely focused thought for 17 . . . 34 . . . 51 . . . 68 seconds! If just thinking for these little increments of time is difficult, try writing! For example, if you want a different job, start by appreciating things about your current job — get specific. Acknowledge that while you are thankful for your job, you realize it is only a step to the job you really want! Then move into details of your new, better job. Again, get specific. Write about how good it feels to get up everyday and go to a job you love, that pays you more than enough, that provides you the flexibility you love and enjoy — Oh look, you just spent 68 seconds brilliantly, purely focused on the job you want!

Yes! It is that easy! Do this every morning and every evening and before you know it, “it” will manifest right before your eyes!

I’ve seen this in many forms and I’m not sure who the original came from but it’s a good “recipe” for deliberate creation:

  • 5 “cups” of appreciating what is
  • 2 “cups” of imagining what a little better could be
  • 2 “cups” of looking for things that make you feel better
  • 1 “cup” of quieting your mind, relaxing, and letting go of trying so hard (just be with “it”)

“When you set your tuner to a station, you’re going to hear what’s playing. Whatever you are focused upon is the way you set your tuner, and when you focus there for as little as 17 seconds, you activate that vibration within you. Once you activate a vibration within you, Law of Attraction begins responding to that vibration, and you’re off and running — whether it’s something wanted or unwanted.’” Abraham-Hicks, copyright Abraham-Hicks Publications. So, 17 seconds turns into more than a minute, repeated a few times a day, those minutes become hours. Soon enough, those hours become days. Before you know it, those days become weeks. After a bit, the weeks become months and my wish for all of us is that when those months become years, we look back at a vibrantly, brilliant, delicious, well-lived life and smile knowing we have the key to many more phenomenal seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years!

Choose love 17 seconds at a time! Namaste!
