The Fly was a science-fiction body horror masterpiece, released in summer 1986. A classic tale of a scientist’s experiment-gone-horribly-wrong, the film was a huge success thanks to spectacularly gruesome special effects and an award-winning performance from Jeff Goldblum.

This was the first collaboration between Howard Shore and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s a soundtrack that perfectly reflects the drama of the story — after all, this film was far more than just gruesome horror. In addition to pure dread and constant unease, at the film’s heart were a powerful love story and great tragedy.

The Fly is available to watch on Google Play .
