Hey, it’s Luca! Long time no see! 👋
In this 4th Team Letter, we’re going to talk about the current issues with LUXON and DESPERADO B218 and share the details of some solutions we’re considering. From now on, we plan to release a Team Letter every month so we can communicate with you better and share our plans. Stay tuned!
Issues arising in LUXON & DESPERADO B218
Through careful observation of user activity, we found there are some common issues users are struggling with. We gathered their opinions and feedback to figure out what changes we should prioritize and came up with the following:
- Preventing price crashing of Epic or higher Grades
- Expanding the supply and improving the liquidity of Epic or higher Grades
- Increasing the benefits of Grade Up content
- Stabilizing the price of major currencies
Solutions for the current issues
First, let’s talk about the supply and liquidity of Epic or higher Grades. I’m sure everyone’s aware of the new Agent Grade Up feature in DESPERADO B218. However, it seems that users were not inclined to use that feature due to the lack of benefits from Grade Up and the consumption of same tier materials.
To resolve this issue, we aim to provide a sufficient and stable supply of materials so that users can enjoy the game’s content and to prevent owners from suffering a loss from the decrease in currency value that follows the increased supply.
Therefore, we are considering giving users with acceptable qualification, the position of “1st Contributor” as a solution. We are still pondering what the specific criteria for acceptable qualification would be, but a general idea would be “contribution level of high-tier liquidity supplies.” To help you understand our criteria for 1st Contributors, I’ll give you an example using Epic Agents.
If the average OpenSea price of the NFT has increased, we will mint additional Agents equal to a certain amount of all Epic Agents that were minted. The NFTs that were additionally minted will be airdropped to users who purchased and owned Epic Agents for over a certain duration. The airdrop will happen in order of users with the highest number of the same NFTs to the lowest. And the users who receive the airdrop will be the 1st Contributors.
1st Contributors can make strategic decisions by centralizing the airdropped NFTs to enjoy the in-game contents of DESPERADO B218 or trade it on the market. We expect this decision to make a positive contribution to the market by preventing unusual increase in the value of currencies.
1st Contributors will be re-selected after a certain period of time. This is so that we can prevent the selected supplier from gaining continuous profit without any other contributions and to prevent the abuse that can occur with it.
Next is our thoughts on how to make the Grade Up feature better.
The Grade Up feature is the first Agent advancement content that was released in DESPERADO B218 but was inconvenient due to the overwhelming amount of required materials and slow progression.
We are hoping that supply and demand will be improved through the existing supply and the method mentioned above (additional NFT minting upon an increase in average price). Regarding the issue of slow progression, we are planning to implement a “Level Up Feature” and an “Increased Max Level for Each Grade Feature” as a solution.
The “Level Up Feature,” which will be mainly utilized by low-tier characters, is the second progression system to be added after the first Grade Up feature. It’s a generic system where certain stats increase as the Agent levels up. We hope this contributes to the rise in floor prices and the prevention of price crashes.
The “Increased Max Level for Each Grade Feature” is a potential method to increase the benefits of Grade Up itself. We’re planning to apply a Grade Up ceiling based on the Agent’s Star Grade. The increase in stats will apply differently based on how many times the Agent went through Grade Up.
Additionally, we are also considering ways to maintain the value of leveled-up Agents, such as automatic exchanges through Grade Up or other methods, and more.
Conclusion
So far, we have been discussing among ourselves ways to improve LUXON and DESPERADO B218. However, going forward, we want to include the users in creating this platform through regular communication, which is why we prepared this Team Letter. What do you think? Let us know what you think about this Team Letter!
We plan on making consistent updates to improve the users’ convenience through your feedback. We are soon implementing Auto-battle in Death+Paradox too, so keep an eye out for that! Let’s work together to create a true Web3.0 gaming ecosystem. Well, this is it for today and I’ll see you again next month!
