Netflix joins a growing number of employers who recognize that family-friendly policies represent enlightened self-interest at its very best. They’re good for workers, but they’re also smart business.
But why should you have to win the boss lottery in order to take care of your child? It’s time Congress got the memo and understood what’s clear to so many businesses, large and small, as well as state and local governments. It’s time that we do what every other advanced economy has done and pass a national paid leave law. It’s time to lead on leave.
