Friends have nothing to do with it and in both California and Washington the subject of the order is given the opportunity to present his/her case before the court. In fact, in neither state can the order become “permanent” (1 year duration) until the subject is accorded that opportunity. That’s due process. You not liking or trusting America’s courts does not mean there is a lack of due process.
