AfricaTechDay17 Hackathon Challenge 7–8 July Fintech Hackathon organised by Angelus Consulting, with support from Wayra. Software developers, entrepreneurs, students and business professionals came together to form solutions to the challenges facing the continent. It was a great opportunity to network, collaborate, learn, receive mentoring and take advantage of all the valuable resources provided at this weekend.

There was also a variety of challenges like Financial inclusion, Remittances and Crowdfunding. We explored how these could be tackled with technologies around Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Data Analytics?and Open Banking platforms.

Alongside a £250 cash prize and a fast-track to Wayra’s accelerator programme, Team Kollet won a 1 to 1 with CEO, RailsBank. Our appreciation also goes to the Hackathon Sponsors & Partners. Special thanks for the excellent mentoring and coaching given all participants during the Hackathon.
