You Can’t Be a Christian (and Neither Can I)

So YOU can’t be a Christian if you build a wall…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you favor unlimited immigration…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you vote for Trump…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you vote for Sanders…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you vote for Clinton…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you don’t pull funding from Planned Parenthood…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you support Planned Parenthood…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you attack the Second Amendment…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you own a gun…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you support Palestine…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you support Israel…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you listen to rap music…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you’ve been divorced…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you swear…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you’re gay…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you don’t support gay marriage…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you don’t boycott Starbucks…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you make more than $150,000…
YOU can’t be a Christian if you wear this shirt, read that book, walk this way…

Maybe I’m reading a different Bible, but the only thing I found is:

’…Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. (Matthew 22:37–40 NIV)

I think I’ll worry about if *I’M* being a good Christian and leave it at that.
