“Because what happens if you’re a boy — like Jasper — and you like kittens and My Little Pony and people say that’s bad or silly or wrong?”

“You feel bad.”

“Exactly.”

That is such a nice way of telling a child that labelling somebody with names or titles hurts. Everyone is who he or she is. Labelling someone’s personality is simply not acceptable. Thank you Catherine for sharing your experience. It is definitely food for thought.
