It’s Not Enough To Say That You’re A “Good Person”

Apparently Logan Paul was on Good Morning America recently. I didn’t watch the interview but what he said was the headline of every articles.

“I’m just a good guy that made a mistake.”

Sure…

He’s right. He’s probably just a good guy that made a mistake, just like each and everyone of us human beings.

But the truth is that it’s not enough to say “I’m a good guy! I’m a good guy!”

I recently had that same conversation with one of the children that I take care of. Deep down she is a good kid but ultimately she behaves very badly and she kicks me, punches me, insults me and overall drives me crazy. One day, I don’t remember what happened exactly but she probably was out of control. I tried to understand what was going on and at some point, she told me “but I’m a nice girl”.

And I told her “You say this but it’s not enough to say this. You cannot punch me, kick me and hurt me like that and then just say “I’m a nice girl though”. I don’t doubt that you’re a nice girl but you have to behave accordingly.”

It’s not enough to say things, you also have to act accordingly.

Words are nice but actions are the truth.
