I’ve been re-watching the Harry Potter movies.

As some of you might know, I’ve been sick these past few days. And I’ve been sleeping a lot because I really needed some rest. I’ve also tried to work because let’s be honest as much fun as being sick and staying in bed sounds, it really is not that much fun. Not at all even. Being sick sucks. But it allowed me to go back down memory lane. I’ve decided to re-watch all the Harry Potter movies from the beginning! And it gave me such a nostalgic feeling!

I was only 7 when it all started. We were all children when this Harry Potter madness started! Very much like Harry, Ron and Hermione. Very much like Daniel Radcliff, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. It’s so weird to now look back at it in my early twenties and see those actors so little and adorable when I know that like me they are full on adults now.

There’s a lot to say about Harry Potter, but I’m not going to write an essay about it so I’m going to be quick.

First of all, how crazy is it that this world was all invented by one person, J.K Rowling. I’m envious of her brain and her imagination, that’s bloody fantastic! (note that I try to sound British but I really am not, unfortunately…)

Also can we applaud the amount of great visual effects in the movies that were released in early 2000! The ghosts, the paintings, the snake/serpant, the 9 and 3/4 wall, Buckbeak (this one is probably my favorite creature/visual effect) and many many others… Those visual effects were/are pretty clean and very very well done. As someone that is interested in the Film Industry, I really wish that I was one of the people that worked on those movies!

Side note, if they ever want to do a movie for the new Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the cursed child can someone please count me in? Send me a Hogwarts letter so I know it’s real! ☺︎
