The power lies in women’s hands.
The power lies in humans’ hands.
In the words of Queen Bey “Who run the world? Girls!” (or more like women really)
In a recent interview for her new movie Hidden Figures, Taraji P. Henson talked about female power and the power that lies in women sticking together.
Women can do incredible things. Women are incredible! But sometimes we don’t realize how incredible we are. Also, sometimes we don’t want to admit how incredible others are.
And I’m not writing this post to say that women are better than men. Of course we all joke about who’s the better gender, women or men. But let’s be honest we’re all equally incredible human beings as it is. And just as Taraji is saying, if we come together, we can change things. But we all have to realize that we’re better together! Otherwise we won’t go very far!
We need to stop hating on each other and start supporting each other!
I did start writing this post as a “women power” post, but I ended up writing for all of human kind.
I wanted to write this post for women because we have to be reminded of how incredible we are because we forget sometimes. I think women need a little bit more encouragement and a little bit of a confidence boost! That’s why I thought it was necessary to post something that was targeted at women.
So here is my message to women (but it really is a message for everyone):
“Don’t be afraid to be incredible! Don’t be afraid of other incredible women! We need each other! We are all incredible! And it’s time we admit it to each other instead of trying to bring each other down! No good will come from tearing another woman apart! It should not be hard to work with other women or to admire other women or to accept other women’s talent! Why do we make it so hard for each other? Let other people be incredible and support them in their incredible journey!” — Lalaina Rackson
