How to Chase your Tail and Waste a Few Years in Your Business …and how Not To

Knee Jerk Swings can be Costly and Dibble-Dabble is just That
Too often our businesses are plagued by the temptation that Small Changes will bring Big Positive Results -or- that Swinging the Pendulum from one Extreme Position to the opposite Extreme Position will yield something other than Years of lost time and opportunity.
Scenario -A: Small, timid change in approach and action is somehow expected to result in a big positive impact to the business or organization.
Scenario -B: Recent results are rejected, so the Pendulum is emotionally swung in full force to an opposite and yet another extreme position.
Scenario -C: Current problem and situation is recognized for what it is. Strategic, Big, Calculated Action is planned and taken to close the gap…and the process of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Adjust) is repeated until the desired position is achieved.
Simple & Effective, but Rarely done in disciplined fashion!
