What would the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 be without its S Pen?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is everything you’d expected.

A cascade of unstoppable rumors helped me construct an image of the phablet in my mind’s eye that, now that I’ve see the real thing, was remarkably accurate.

Samsung calls the Note line its innovation category, where they get to push the boundaries of smartphone technology for an audience eager to live their lives on the handset.

Bold, yet familiar. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes in black or lavender.

The Note 9 bears that out, to a certain extent. It is, at 6.4-inches, their largest screen smartphone ever, packed not only with cutting edge components like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU, but a water carbon cooling system and an extra-large heat-sync to keep the device at peak performance.

Current Samsung Galaxy Note 8 owners will, at first, be hard pressed to tell the difference between the Galaxy Note 9 and their device. Virtually all the design notes are the same. Gorilla glass on the front and back, a Quad HD super-AMOLED infinity display that curves ever-so-gently away at the edges, making this slightly larger device just as comfortable to hold…
