Hello! As the title suggests this is a simple locator tool that serves the purpose of finding a WIC “vendor” — supermarkets that take the Women Infants and Children benefit — within an area designated by the user. How To Use

In order to use the visualization all that one must do is select a county, enter their zip code, or city and the map will zoom into the locale of interest. Once the user finds a location that are interested in going to they can click the colored dot and the map, which will open the location in google.

Methods

The data is taken from the California Health and Human Services open data portal, and the visualization is done in tableau.
