Daingerfield State Park in Texas

Our family is on a family road trip and we are driving through Texas. After being in the car for so long, we decided to get out to stretch our legs and burn some energy at Daingerfield State Park in Daingerfield, TX.

While at this great Texas state park, we got to do some swimming, hiking and playing.

When we first got there, we immediately got into our swim suits and got in the lake. It was amazing; the water’s temperature felt like bathtub water. There is also a swimming platform out in the middle of the lake that you can swim out to and jump off of.

While we were there, I noticed that you could see a lot of the fish that are in the water, so I took my GoPro and stuck it under the water and I did a short time lapse of the fish swimming by. They even came up close to the camera.

After swimming, we got changed and went to the General Store and got a popsicle for everyone, which was nice for this hot day in July. After eating at the picnic tables, we went back to the car to spray some bug spray.

We decided to go on the trail around the lake. This was a fun hike. We didn’t make it all the way around, our son is only 3 and can only go so far, but what we did get to see was very beautiful.
