Problems of this magnitude, these deeply fundamental ones, make me want to just throw my hands up and admit we’re all going to hell in a handbasket.

How any individual can hold onto the belief that they can instigate some of change let alone overhaul these institutions is bewilderingly fantastic, something I hope I can emulate.
