I think Scottish (and UK) Politics isn’t going under Ulsterfication. There is only one overtly unionist party. And that party is gradually becoming a semi-reflection of the SNP (at least in emotion.) Even unionists are angry at the media and newspapers. I think Scottish politics is undergoing polarization similar to the US and Canada, but we won’t really know for sure until 2016. Also, people tend to look at it in isolation, what’s more interesting is the actions and reactions of the Government and Westminster. I’m consistently surprised that other parties sans the conservatives have not used the devolution record of the Tories to change minds
