Beer whose shipment is criss-crossing the nation (or the world), such as east coast brands to the west coast, and vice versa, really isn’t sustainable beer. Serving just regional markets is what is needed in view of climate change; regulation is needed. A secure regional market for a brand would avoid the pressure to compete afar. Under 21st Century circumstances, shipping what is mostly water (plus heavy glass) long distances does not make sense.
