Gay marriage paves way for polyamory, bigamy and beastiality legalization

Many states are now considering allowing multiple people to marry now that gay marriage is legal and some even considering bigamy as well as beastiality as states want to be proactive so they aren’t singled out for trying to tell people who they can love legally.
Now that the gay marriage battle has concluded states are scrambling together to write laws allowing 3 or more people to be married to one another. States are ensuring to draft the laws with words like "people" , "citizens" and "residents" so that even transgender individuals will be able to partake in these nicknamed "multi-marriages". Multi marriages have been around for some time. They are not widely accepted and are illegal in the USA currently. Poly marriage has gotten a bad wrap due to predatory marriages in cases like Warren Jeffs who arranged marriage with young teenage girls of his religious followers. Despite bad apples like Jeffs, people are pushing for multi-partner marriages.
Bigamy in many states is illegal and has various penalties attached to it. The argument coming from some in our society has been that they can’t just love one person and that the law needs to recognize that. Bigamy may be a hard sell because it may bring great discourse to the way individuals and married people file taxes. If someone is married to two people it would be near impossible to file taxes with our current system. Many non religious groups think that having multiple sexual partners is a better alternative to legalizing bigamy as making it legal would burden everyone else by complicating our already cumbersome tax filing process.
Lawmakers are also perplexed at the pleas to make beastiality legal. People are claiming they are in a monogamous relationship with an animal and the law should recognize it like they do other monogamous relationships. People against the legalization claim that animals can’t speak for themselves so there is nothing to talk about.
America has accepted gay marriage at the supreme court level. People with various beliefs now want their case heard. The traditional institution of marriage has now been altered and other groups are coming out asking for the same privileges that Gay people are getting. It’s unclear how supreme court leaders will decipher and hear pleas. The precedent set with gay marriage has created a blurred concept of marriage that will now need to continue to be defined by lawmakers. The traditional role of marriage has now catapulted into a new interpretation by man. The future of marriage remains unclear. Many argue that marriage is not needed in order to love or express love. The future story of marriage has yet to be told.
