Jill, reading this again — I am so very sorry you had this experience. I don’t understand this kind of hatred. I just don’t.

I think you were right to call it out while also taking precautions to keep yourself safe.

My initial gut response to simply reading your name: “Rabbi Jill Zimmerman” on that first Tweet that prompted me to Tweet back to you was “Oh, a lady who is spiritual! I really want to know this person.”

I probably would not have “met” you had it not been for that, for you having been brave enough to write about what happened to you on Twitter.

I know the goodwill I offer you here can’t erase the things that were said to you — but I hope it helps in some small way.
