A huge reason for undertaking the North Sea Cycle Route in particular, was the opportunity to explore my home turf (the UK) a bit more before heading across to Europe.
A few people have asked if they could join me for sections as I make my way down through the UK — to which my response has been HECK YEAH!
I’m really happy to launch these community ride dates! As a proud #GetOutside champion for Ordnance Survey, I love encouraging you guys to… well, get outside! So, if any are close to you, put the date in your diary — I would absolutely LOVE you to get involved:
A couple of things to bear in mind:
- The rides are totally free and everyone is welcome! Feel free to join for the entire section or just part of it.
- I am unsupported throughout my ride and the same goes for these sections so please ensure that you have everything you need to complete the section without mechanical assistance (i.e. spare inner tubes, bike pump, puncture repair kit, etc)
- Stopping times will be kept to a minimum so please bring plenty of snacks, water, etc!
- I have a fully loaded bike so the pace will be a little slower than usual ;)
