Cultivation — Cultivating 2022
Observing that being here on Earth at this time is an honor, has me present to the joyous possibilities to open windows to new understandings and care. Present to the joyous possibilities to open windows to new understandings and care has me have …
The power to cultivate abundance and well-being is buried within the layers of the Earth, in the soils, the waters, minerals, plants that are the building blocks to sustain and maintain life. If we care for them, we can live abundantly.
The power to cultivate abundance and well-being is also present in the body, evident in the dermal layers of the skin, the blood, bones, heartbeat and breath that are the energy pathways of our ability to BE and thrive. It is our temple, our Earth home. If we care for it, we can find joy.
It is our honor and privilege to cultivate abundance — to seed, nourish, emerge, gather and share the joy and bounties of the Earth’s healthful being. It is our honor and privilege to cultivate well-being — to borne, care for, educate, guide and support resplendent life that enriches Creation with joy and gratitude. The interdependence between healthy Earth and healthy Life on Earth as a loving, caring human being is resonating, I think for so many of us right now.
I started this post intending to talk about conscious living — especially it’s connection to regeneration of health in a world of sickness and dying. But that seems so simple. We know we must live more consciously. We know that virus and diseases are a result of stress and contamination of our bodies with toxic “stuff.” We know we have to be more in partnership with Nature and the Earth. We have reached a tipping point of knowing. It is now about the Trust and the Renewal. It’s time to cultivate the new way.
Maybe, as I age, and come closer to the thin line between human life and spirit life, I feel the Creation love more intensely. Maybe Spirit is more present as a guide in this era of energy shift and planetary transformation. I do not know, but I feel accompanied. I/we are not alone.
Some years ago as part of a spiritual exercise, we were asked to reconnect with our first ancestors. The guided practice asked us to walk back in our hearts eye to greet our grandmothers, grandfathers, great grandparents and ancestors from generations past. We continued to walk back in time/space imaginings to what could be our first appearance on Earth as human. I found myself as a seed planter, a gardener, farmer, cultivator. I felt deeply that I was THE seed planter, in the first garden — story calls it Eden. Of course, we are all seeded from Earth’s Eden. I felt a sacred responsibility in the act of the honored placing of seeds into the garden ground. I can’t help thinking, in my love for the garden, that this first me is present today. I think that is why I cry when I see seed sprouts emerge. There is so much love in the ritual of planting, the nourishing, the cultivating, the gathering, the sharing. It is a celebration.
As we turn over the soil — in our gardens or in ourselves — to prepare for new growth we awaken dormant energies, Earth’s collaborators of abundance. Today as we wonder about what we seek to cultivate in our life, our YEAR of 2022, I challenge me and you to go back to finish the sentence that started this post -

My recursion: Present to the joyous possibilities to open windows of new understanding and care has me have invitation to discover and honor each individual and interdependent role as part of a vibrant community of care — that instructs us to live in harmony with Earth, Nature and each other.
