My First MozFest

This weekend was my first time attending MozFest and I was blown away by the energy and optimism of it all. Everywhere you looked there were handwritten signs inviting you to join sessions, with round table discussions and maker spaces around every corner — all in the name of celebrating a healthy open web.

Charlie Legge and I presented Coventry University’s Disruptive Media Learning Lab’s Open Badges Project as a case study of badges in Higher Education — including what we want to do moving forwards and some of the issues and pitfalls we’re facing. This was a great opportunity to share our experiences with others looking to implement Open Badges within their own education institutions. Massive thanks to Matt Rogers, Mark Ritches and the DigitalMe team for inviting us to come along!
