I don’t know you as a streamer, but I’m all too familiar with Twitch and the gaming community. I used to stream back in 2013 but moved to an area with terrible internet and not only did my twitch carrier die but gaming dropped off too. Needless to say, this isn’t about the community as much as it is our well being in all of this. I too feel victim to the ambitious desires of this genre. so much so that I let my health fall at the way side. I was an online junkie. Even if I didn’t stream I was either watching others or playing through the silent hours of the night to get my fix. I gained over 30 lbs in 4 years. My eating habits were appalling, and felt my health slipping. I ended up with a dry cough that lasted more than 6 months. It finally came down to 2 back to back trips to the ER leaving me grasping for life. In my case, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease with a 3" tumor in my chest which lead to a build up of fluid, close to 2 liters to be exact, which nearly crushed my lung. This was 7 months ago to date, and have been receiving Chemotherapy since Aug 2016. I don’t blame anyone for my sickness, but I do relate and sympathize with your situation. All our lives we are convinced that eating for pleasure is our goal, but in doing so we neglect the reason why we eat at all. Now, after extensive studies on how to make my journey better, I’m realizing that food is the cure for most of our modern sicknesses, yet this valuable information is denied us. I admire your courage and your willingness to share this with others so they can learn it’s not all peaches and cream. I am healing slowly and wishing you all the best in your journey back to the well being you deserve. God Speed my friend.
