Welcome to our monthly series, Frogger Spotlight. At LeapFrog Systems, it’s always Froggers first, and we want to showcase our best and brightest. Whether you’re interested in learning more about what it’s like to be a Frogger, want to meet a fellow Frogger, or just killing some time, we think this series has a little something for everyone.
Today we’re introducing Chris Moore, a Frogger on our Texas team! Chris currently serves as the local Frogger Mentor in Texas, meaning he goes way beyond his normal responsibilities to provide support and advice to fellow consultants in Texas.
How long have you been a Frogger? Almost 2 years!
What type of consulting do you do? I’m a Business Systems Analyst Consultant by trade with Fidelity, but dabble in Scrum Master and Project Management responsibilities. I try to be as flexible as possible and be a super utility player.
What is the best thing about being a consultant? The people. I get to integrate not only with great Froggers, but my clients/co-workers at Fidelity are fun, intelligent, and genuine people.
What is the most challenging thing about being a consultant? Knowing that you can’t fix everything. Some practices/methodologies and habits will continue and at times all you can do is advise on better alternatives. In some cases changes must come from levels above who we get to work with, so it’s best to try and improve the groups we work with directly and let news of our success help shape other teams.
What technology trend are you most excited to see continue to progress? Why? I think Artificial Intelligence is an exciting prospect, having bots or programs reduce some of the manual monotonous work is great for keeping our tech industry busy and exciting.
What do you do in your free time? Spend time with my lovely wife Jennifer and dog Maui. I also enjoy playing games on my self-built gaming PC, watching movies, and listening to different types of music.
What would someone be surprised to know about you? For my dream job, I would be a movie critic.
What’s your favorite TV show right now? Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, really.
