Google will be hosting their first full two-day developer event this year. Many are wondering what Google will be doing with the whole two days. It seems that the tech giant wants to include more information for app and software creators. However, the two days will also include presentations and displays that will interest the average user as well.
The main focus of the event will be Android Wear. This is a project that Google announced earlier in 2014 and has already released it to developers in beta form. Android Wear is an extension of Google’s mobile OS that is designed for smart watches and other wearable “smart” devices. Motorola and LG are expected to present new products this year including smart watches that run Android. These two companies originally announced that they would be launching their devices this summer so we might see the premiere of the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch at I/O.

Google is also expected to talk more about how Android may be integrated into the car. After Apple introduced CarPlay, Google got to work with their own version. Although the details are unknown, GM, Audi and Hyundai have already partnered with Google to integrate Android into cars.
In addition to mobile devices and your car, Android is working on integrating into your TV and home. Right now they have a Google TV, but there may be an Android TV making an appearance at the event. The Android TV will be a bit different because it is, reportedly, more focused on content rather than fancy app and software.
Although the even this year is mostly aimed at developers, designers and marketers will find plenty to interest themselves. The even also serves as a preview for consumers as what is to come out of Google in the next few years.
