Day 1: Advance Queensland Innovation and Investment Summit

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk launched the Advance Queensland Innovation and Investment Summit.

The #AQSummit Twitter storm kicked off: 6665 Tweets, 748 messages between delegates via the Advance Queensland app. There are 374 exhibitors, 483 delegates and 553 registered at the evening’s networking event. 13.6 million social media reach.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak beamed into the conference to share his thoughts on innovation.

It was great to have author and mathematician Adam Spencer as the MC at some of our favourite sessions.

We had two big announcements at the #AQSummit. We’ve set up a start up precinct and we’re launching Hot DesQ to promote Queensland around the world as the destination for startups.

We then went across town to Fortitude Valley to meet Shark Tank’s Steve Baxter at the new startup precinct.

Back at the Royal International Convention Centre we caught up with next-gen Domino’s pizza delivery. His name is Dru (Domino’s Robotic Unit).

The team definitely used these charging stations.
