Oprah: Your Courage = Your Life

By http://www.leftat50.com

“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.” — Oprah Winfrey

Are you asking life for the things you really want? Do you know what those things even are? If you are feeling confused, perhaps this is why. You need to find your clarity. For too long, you lived with so much uncertainty, “Does he still love me?”, “Is he leaving me forever?” “What’s going to happen?” that it just became “normal” to not know what was taking place in your own life. Now, you know that’s not normal. So you have some work to do. But that’s okay.

You deserve so much from life! You just gave up asking your partner because the answer was always. The Wall of Silence. That wall has come down. It’s time to start. A) Asking yourself what you truly desire, and B) Listening to the answers. They are there in Your Intuition. The same Intuition that kept telling you your relationship was over-over. For realz as the kids say.

You are standing in Your Life. Take a deep breath and give yourself a big inner smile. Because you made it out sane, alive, aware, and a woman who is becoming the Best Version of Herself. I know you know what that means to you. If there’s any wishy-washy still going on, I urge you to draw yourself. Draw the woman you see in your inner fantasy. Is she A Businesswoman? A Sex Goddess? An Empowered Go-Getter? A World Traveler? A Gourmet Cook? A Master’s Degree Student? An Adventurer? A Marathoner? A Shopping Queen? I know you know.

I’m sure there is a version of one of these that appeals to you. But why aren’t you doing it? I know why. New things are scary. Your mind fills with what-if’s. It’s like you’re digging in the sand with both hands, but the ocean water keeps filling up the hole, no matter how frantically you dig. So you sit on the shore and wait for the tide to change. Ignoring the pull inside of you. Stop ignoring it.

You are the tide.

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
